Why Choose UniVerail
A practical rig-building foundation
The UniVerail 15mm Rail Support System is built for filmmakers who need a reliable base for follow focus, matte box and lens support accessories without committing to a full shoulder-rig package. This camera baseplate with rod clamp gives you a clean starting point for compact DSLR and mirrorless video builds, whether you are shooting interviews, branded content or documentary work.
Height adjustment that actually matters
Correct optical centre height is one of the biggest differences between a rig that feels improvised and one that works properly. UniVerail uses a height-adjustable platform to help align your camera body with standard 15mm LWS accessories, improving compatibility across hybrid setups and reducing fiddly repositioning when you swap bodies or lenses.
Faster transitions on set
The integrated Arca quick release baseplate is designed for productions where time matters. Mount and remove your camera more quickly, move between tripod and rail setup with less downtime, and keep your rig more adaptable when working solo. Compared with basic entry-level options from brands such as SmallRig and Neewer, the focus here is workflow efficiency as much as modular compatibility.
Built for UK filmmakers
This 15mm rod clamp baseplate is aimed at UK buyers who already know what they need from a rig: standard 15mm rod support, dependable clamping, sensible load handling and clear product support. It is a lean, mid-range solution for shooters who want better alignment and long-term usability rather than simply the cheapest bracket online.

Customer Reviews
I bought this for a Sony mirrorless interview rig and the height adjustment made a real difference. My follow focus now lines up properly and the Arca plate saves time whenever I move back to the tripod.
Solid bit of kit for the money. The 15mm LWS rod clamp holds straight and the baseplate feels more precise than the cheaper options I tried before on my documentary setup.
Used this with a matte box and lens support on a compact Panasonic rig. It gave me the lens height adjustment I needed without making the whole build overly bulky.
Very good overall and much easier to work with than my old Neewer plate. I would have liked rods in the box, but the clamp, finish and quick release function are all excellent.
I was comparing this with the SmallRig 2272 and went for UniVerail because the setup looked more workflow-focused. Glad I did. Swapping between handheld cage use and rails is much quicker now.
Built a lightweight product video rig around this and it has been dependable so far. The only minor issue is that you need to spend a few minutes fine-tuning the initial lens height, but once set it stays put.
As a solo shooter, I wanted a proper baseplate rather than another generic bracket. This gave me a clean foundation for follow focus and front lens support without spending cinema-rig money.
